Disappointment

The Patriots lost. Need I say more. They were totally, completely outplayed. I am sad.

I didn't go to bed until 1:30am. Two reasons: 1)the Patriots lost, the game was a nailbiter right to the end and I was so wound up I knew I wouldn't be able to sleep. 2)Pete and I took a ride to Mohegan Sun. Why? For the heck of it. No reason. We're not into gambling. I had a cup of coffee with a snack there. Note to self: YOU KNOW YOU SHOULDN"T DRINK COFFEE IN THE AFTERNOON!!!

So today I am brain dead and don't aspire to accomplish very much. Oh well!

If anyone read my last post, I hope you went to Subway Knitter's blog to read her post and the reprint of the thread from Ravelry that some wingnuts had regarding her mitten pattern. Read the comments too. They are funny. I suppose when you put yourself on the internet even in the most innocent of circumstances ie. designing knitting patterns, then you are open to whatever crazies are out there and however they wish to interpret what you say or what you do. I don't know, makes me wonder if it's all worth it sometimes.

Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!

This is what it looked like outside my breezway door Thursday late morning. Everyone was on their way home from school and work because it was predicted we'd get 6"-8" of snow. Well, turned out it was more like 12". But the storm came and went and was out of here by 8pm.

This is my back deck after it stopped snowing Sunday morning after storm #2-Nor'easter edition. Add another foot to the foot that fell Thursday and this is what you get. Then the sleet and freezing rain came. My driveway is a skating rink. And man, is it cold! I swear there's more snow on the ground now than there was all last winter. It didn't stop the Patriots from playing though it sure made winning difficult. What a sloppy game. But they beat the Jets anyway. Undefeated 14-0!! w00t!

There has been knitting though not a whole lot. Here's a finished Araucania Ranco sock. It's nice enough. The other Manly Mitt is on the needles.
