It's Great to be a Sports Fan in New England

Why is it great to be a sports fan in New England? The Red Sox won the World Series. What a week that was! I'm just now catching up on sleep from staying up for those late games. They were a killer but well worth it. I must make a confession though. I am not a baseball fan. I find regular season baseball to be very boring. Really. I'm like those strictly holiday church goers. You know the ones-they don't go to church all year then crowd in on Christmas and Easter. Yup. In the post season, there's a purpose. Win to move on then win to move on again. It's exciting! Especially here in Massachusetts. And according to my son, College Boy in Boston, every "Christmas and Easter" sports fan crowded into the city for the duck boat parade.

Another reason it's great to be a sports fan in New England is the Patriots beat the Colts to remain undefeated. I AM a Patriots fan. I've watched religiously since they won their first Super Bowl back a few years ago. I like football. I don't find that boring though this season has been pretty boring with the Pats dominating every game. Not last night. It was a very close game and I'm sorry to say I really thought they'd lose. But they didn't. So they remain undefeated. Yay!

And now for some knitting content. The Shibui Socks are done. They go into the mail tomorrow so Nishanna can FINALLY get some Sockapalooza socks. I hope she likes them. And Muir FINALLY received her socks. The second pair. Not the first pair. I was sooo happy and relieved. It was bad enough that she needed a savior in the first place never mind not receiving socks from her savior. Sockapalooza is a lot of fun and everyone should have a good experience. I know I did and hopefully now Muir and Nishanna will too. Next up, socks for a friend's birthday and a shop sample for another friend.

  1. Those are beautiful socks. I haven't knit with that yarn yet, but I'm dying to!
