I can't believe it's Tuesday December 4th already. The last few weeks are a blur. Since the stupid flu then bronchitis (yes, the flu became bronchitis) I've felt like crap hacking up a lung on a daily basis. Sorry. I finally have energy and can breath without coughing. Anyway, this isn't a "health and well-being" blog so I will move on.

This is one finished
Manly Mitt. I am oh, so proud of this mitten. Colorwork has been a thorn in my side but I have been determined to practice and get better at it. This pattern is awesome and I had a blast knitting it, I think, because it was looking so good and I had very little puckering. I did have a bit of trouble at the top decreasing. I had a really hard time decreasing and keeping the pattern intact. I had seen on
Susan's blog that she made up a chart. This made the decreasing sooo much easier. Maybe because it was visual, I don't know. Now I need to start the second one. I may have to get more Cascade 220 though. I got it out of my stash and wasn't sure how much of the gray I had. Not a big deal.

I included this picture because it's the only in process pic I took. And I ended up frogging back to the cuff. Look closely and you'll see that I royally screwed up the pattern. Oops!

This is a sock that I'm doing as a sample for a
friend. It was supposed to be a fingerless mitt but I didn't care for the pattern at all. Another suggestion was a soft, cozy bed sock. I like that much better. The yarn is Jo Sharp Georgette. I don't have the label with me at the moment. It has alpaca, merino wool, and silk and is very soft. The pattern is Yankee Knitter's Basic Sock Pattern on #2 Addi Turbo 40" Magic Loop.
Now that it's December, I officially welcome all things Christmas. Bring it on. We have some snow and a new faux tree. Falalalala lalala!!!!
