
....you see a ball or a hank of yarn whose colors just seem so nice. They are colors you aren't usually drawn to but you really like them. So you buy it. And you start to make a sock. And the more you knit, the more it just looks gross. It pools in an odd sort of configuration and has lost all appeal. Last night I finished the gusset decreases and just could not knit any further. It was just plain awful. Off to the frog pond this poor sock goes. I think I need to experiment with different needle sizes or perhaps a pattern to see if it tames the yucky pooling. Any ideas?
This is Koigu KPPPM by the way. The label is long gone so I have no idea what color it is.
It is pretty yarn though, even if the sock is not to your liking. I have yarns that I have never knit anything with because they are so darn nice I don't want to part with them as yarn! KWIM? LOL! Fondling yarn only - FYO's!
