Can A Mitten Be Inherently Evil?

I have little or no knitting to talk about. Sure, there's stuff on the needles but my motivation is low. Taxes, college applications and acceptances, FAFSA's, stomach viruses. There's just too much other stuff going on. So this morning I did my usual blog reading and when I came to Subway Knitter Colleen's blog this morning, I just had to laugh. She is the creator of the ingenious Subway Mittens. You know, from the Winter 2007 Interweave Knits. She posted excerpts of an old thread from a Ravelry discussion group. You gotta read it to believe it. Now I consider myself your average, everyday person with a fairly open mind. Yet I find myself utterly amazed reading this post. Amazing! The direction that someone's mind can go in over a knitted mitten. Did I say AMAZING!?! And a little scary.

It's Friday, one kid is home with a stomach bug and the weather is craptastic freezing rain sleet sh&%. I need to find me some knitting mojo!!!
