Sock Progress

Belle Epoque
The Belle Epoque socks are coming right along. I had to separate them and knit one heel at a time. When I cast on for two at a time, they weren't in the right order. I tried and tried to order them right for the heel construction without success.
BFFsock
This is a BFF sock (pattern by Cookie A). The details for both of these are on my Ravelry projects page.

Hydrangea

Hydrangea
A couple of years ago, Pete transplanted this hydrangea from the monster perrenial garden to the side of the garage. It has thrived since moving but no flowers until now. One lonely bunch. But one lonely bunch is so much better than no bunches.

What a Party and Some Sock Knitting

All the work we put in last week getting the yard and the house ready for Meg's Graduation party was so worth it. It was hot and sunny in the low 90's and we couldn't have asked for a better day. Good company, good kids and loads of fun!!
Meg and Mom
As far as sock knitting goes, I started Belle Epoque from Melissa Morgan-Oakes' book, 2 at a Time Socks. This is a great pattern. I'm not terribly thrilled with the color of the yarn but it's growing on me.

Number 3

SpringForwardSOS3 002
Sock 1 of my third SOS 08 pair

The cuff on these is 2 repeats instead of 2.5 or 3. I just wanted shorter socks. I like the pattern. It's easy to remember. You can't see it very well with this CTH "Water" but I like it anyway.

Dublin Bay Sock 1

It's a gray day today so taking a good picture was difficult. Anyway, I'm well on my way. One more pattern repeat and I'm on to the heel flap.

Let The Summer Sock Knitting Begin

Lornas Laces Shepard Sock
The winner is Dublin Bay Socks from Mossy Cottage in Lorna's Laces Mixed Berries.

The pattern can be found by searching in Patterns on Ravelry. It's been around for awhile so I figure most are familiar with it. I'll insert links as I find them.

I made a pair of these for myself 2-3 years ago. Nice and easy to follow. I promised a neighbor a pair so lucky Ellen gets these.
