Waving Lace Socks (Or What I Knit Instead of Mom's Shawl)

Obviously, I am easily distracted. I should have worked on the shawl but instead worked on this sock. The Patriots last pre-season game was on and knit away I did. (The Pats won 27-20) We're going to get nephew, J, in New London this afternoon so I'll bring the shawl and nothing else for the ride. No distractions! That's the only way I'm going to get that thing done.
